Born in Los Angeles, California, she is the daughter of actress Goldie Hawn and musician Bill Hudson, and sister of actor Oliver Hudson. Her breakthrough role was as Penny Lane in Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous (2000), for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
