David William Duchovny (born August 7, 1960 in New York City) is an American television and film actor, most famous for playing the character of FBI agent Fox Mulder on The X-Files TV series.
Duchovny is a graduate of Princeton University and also holds a Master's degree in English Literature from Yale University. He married actoress Téa Leoni on May 6, 1997.
